Halo: 596 is a science-fiction first-person shooter game as part of a spinoff Halo series. It was developed by Ulysses Industries and published by Splatter Studios. It is the second installment of the spinoff series, which has yet to be named.
Throughout the game, you play as the famed members of Squad 596. Often, you have the option of what character to play as.
Halo: 596's gameplay runs along the same line as the original games made by Bungie - Ulysses Industries also took great caution in avoiding the lines set by 343 Industries. It also won a Game of the Year award. The game's fighting AI were also revolutionary. Ulysses Industries took great time in getting the best developement finished for great gameplay.
- Spartans now have night vision at all times, instead of only having them in Campaign and Firefight.
- The game has an open-world setting, much like Far Cry 3's gameplay.
- At most times, players can fly any aircraft.
